The Lord Gives Solomon Wisdom

1:1 Solomon son of David solidified his royal authority, for the Lord his God was with him and magnified him greatly.

2 Chronicles 2:1

Solomon Gathers Building Materials for the Temple

2:1 (1:18) Solomon ordered a temple to be built to honor the Lord, as well as a royal palace for himself.

2 Chronicles 2:15

2:15 Now let my lord send to his servants the wheat, barley, olive oil, and wine he has promised;

2 Chronicles 6:2

6:2 O Lord, I have built a lofty temple for you, a place where you can live permanently.”

6:7 Now my father David had a strong desire to build a temple to honor the Lord God of Israel.

2 Chronicles 12:1-2

12:1 After Rehoboam’s rule was established and solidified, he and all Israel rejected the law of the Lord. 12:2 Because they were unfaithful to the Lord, in King Rehoboam’s fifth year, King Shishak of Egypt attacked Jerusalem.

13:20 Jeroboam did not regain power during the reign of Abijah. The Lord struck him down and he died.

17:10 The Lord put fear into all the kingdoms surrounding Judah; they did not make war with Jehoshaphat.

17:16 and Amasiah son of Zikri, who volunteered to serve the Lord, led 200,000 skilled warriors.

18:6 But Jehoshaphat asked, “Is there not a prophet of the Lord still here, that we may ask him?”
