The Lord Gives Solomon Wisdom

1:1 Solomon son of David solidified his royal authority, for the Lord his God was with him and magnified him greatly.

2 Chronicles 1:4

1:4 (Now David had brought up the ark of God from Kiriath Jearim to the place he had prepared for it, for he had pitched a tent for it in Jerusalem.

2 Chronicles 1:9

1:9 Now, Lord God, may your promise to my father David be realized, for you have made me king over a great nation as numerous as the dust of the earth.

32:29 He built royal cities and owned a large number of sheep and cattle, for God gave him a huge amount of possessions.

36:12 He did evil in the sight of the Lord his God. He did not humble himself before Jeremiah the prophet, the Lord’s spokesman.

2 Chronicles 36:19

36:19 They burned down the Lord’s temple and tore down the wall of Jerusalem. They burned all its fortified buildings and destroyed all its valuable items.
