Psalms 55:7

55:7 Look, I will escape to a distant place;

I will stay in the wilderness. (Selah)

Psalms 85:5

85:5 Will you stay mad at us forever?

Will you remain angry throughout future generations?

Psalms 102:7

102:7 I stay awake;

I am like a solitary bird on a roof.

Psalms 119:101

119:101 I stay away from the evil path,

so that I might keep your instructions.

tn Heb “Will your anger stretch to a generation and a generation?”

tn This probably refers to the psalmist’s inability to sleep. Another option is to translate, “I keep watch,” in which case it might refer to watching for a response from the Lord (see vv. 1-2).

tn Heb “I hold back my feet.”

tn Heb “your word.” Many medieval Hebrew mss read the plural.
