Matthew 24:39

24:39 And they knew nothing until the flood came and took them all away. ¹  It will be the same at the coming of the Son of Man. ² 

Matthew 25:26

25:26 But his master answered, ³  ‘Evil and lazy slave! So you knew that I harvest where I didn’t sow and gather where I didn’t scatter?

¹ sn Like the flood that came and took them all away, the coming judgment associated with the Son of Man will condemn many.

² tn Grk “So also will be the coming of the Son of Man.”

³ tn Grk “But answering, his master said to him.” This is somewhat redundant and has been simplified in the translation.
