Matthew 10:26

Fear God, Not Man

10:26 “Do not be afraid of them, for nothing is hidden that will not be revealed, and nothing is secret that will not be made known.

Matthew 28:5

28:5 But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid; I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified.

Matthew 28:10

28:10 Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee. They will see me there.”

tn Grk “Therefore do not.” Here οὖν (oun) has not been translated.

tn Or “concealed.”

sn I.e., be revealed by God. The passive voice here and in the next verb see the revelation as coming from God. The text is both a warning about bad things being revealed and an encouragement that good things will be made known.

tn Grk “But answering, the angel said.” This is somewhat redundant in English and has been simplified in the translation.

tn Grk “for I know.”

sn See the note on crucified in 20:19.
