Mark 1:15

1:15 He ¹  said, “The time is fulfilled and the kingdom of God ²  is near. Repent and believe the gospel!”

Mark 10:15

10:15 I tell you the truth, ³  whoever does not receive ⁴  the kingdom of God like a child ⁵  will never ⁶  enter it.”

¹ tn Because of the length and complexity of the Greek sentence, a new sentence was started here in the translation.

² sn The kingdom of God is a reference to the sovereign activity of God as he rules over his creation and brings his plans to realization.

⁵ sn The point of the comparison receive the kingdom of God like a child has more to do with a child’s trusting spirit and willingness to be dependent and receive from others than any inherent humility the child might possess.
