Leviticus 25:16

25:16 The more years there are, ¹  the more you may make its purchase price, and the fewer years there are, ²  the less you must make its purchase price, because he is only selling to you a number of years of ³  produce.

Leviticus 26:37

26:37 They will stumble over each other as those who flee before a sword, though ⁴  there is no pursuer, and there will be no one to take a stand ⁵  for you before your enemies.

³ tn Heb “a number of produce”; the words “years of” are implied. As an alternative this could be translated “a number of harvests” (cf. NRSV, NLT).

⁴ tn Heb “and.” The Hebrew conjunction ו (vav, “and”) is used in a concessive sense here.

⁵ tn The term rendered “to stand up” is a noun, not an infinitive. It occurs only here and appears to designate someone who would take a powerful stand for them against their enemies.
