Leviticus 24:9
24:9 It will belong to Aaron and his sons, and they must eat it in a holy place because it is most holy to him, a perpetual allotted portion 1 from the gifts of the Lord.”
Leviticus 25:30
25:30 If it is not redeemed before the full calendar year is ended, 2 the house in the walled city 3 will belong without reclaim 4 to the one who bought it throughout his generations; it will not revert in the jubilee.
1 tn Or “a perpetual regulation”; NRSV “a perpetual due.”
2 tn Heb “until fulfilling to it a complete year.’
3 tn Heb “the house which [is] in the city which to it [is] a wall.” The Kethib has לֹא (lo’, “no, not”) rather than לוֹ (lo, “to it”) which is the Qere.
4 tn See the note on v. 23 above.
