Joshua 8:5-6
8:5 I and all the troops 1 who are with me will approach the city. When they come out to fight us like before, we will retreat from them.
8:6 They will attack 2 us until we have lured them from the city, for they will say, ‘They are retreating from us like before.’ We will retreat from them.
Joshua 7:12
7:12 The Israelites are unable to stand before their enemies; they retreat because they have become subject to annihilation. 3 I will no longer be with you, 4 unless you destroy what has contaminated you. 5
Joshua 10:19
10:19 But don’t you delay! Chase your enemies and catch them! 6 Don’t allow them to retreat to 7 their cities, for the Lord your God is handing them over to you.” 8
