Joshua 4:8
4:8 The Israelites did just as Joshua commanded. They picked up twelve stones, according to the number of the Israelite tribes, from the middle of the Jordan as the Lord had instructed Joshua. They carried them over with them to the camp and put them there.
Joshua 8:31
8:31 just as Moses the Lord’s servant had commanded the Israelites. As described in the law scroll of Moses, it was made with uncut stones untouched by an iron tool. 1 They offered burnt sacrifices on it and sacrificed tokens of peace. 2
Joshua 14:10
14:10 So now, look, the Lord has preserved my life, just as he promised, these past forty-five years since the Lord spoke these words to Moses, during which Israel traveled through the wilderness. Now look, I am today eighty-five years old.

22:4 Now the Lord your God has made your fellow Israelites secure, 3 just as he promised them. So now you may turn around and go to your homes 4 in your own land 5 which Moses the Lord’s servant assigned to you east of the Jordan.

23:15 But in the same way every faithful promise the Lord your God made to you has been realized, 6 it is just as certain, if you disobey, that the Lord will bring on you every judgment 7 until he destroys you from this good land which the Lord your God gave you.
1 tn Heb “as it is written in the scroll of the law of Moses, an altar of whole stones on which no one had wielded iron.” The expression “whole stones” refers to stones in their natural condition, i.e., not carved or shaped artificially with tools (“wielded iron”).
