Joshua 1:8

1:8 This law scroll must not leave your lips! ¹  You must memorize it ²  day and night so you can carefully obey ³  all that is written in it. Then you will prosper ⁴  and be successful. ⁵ 

Joshua 2:1

Joshua Sends Spies into the Land

2:1 Joshua son of Nun sent two spies out from Shittim secretly and instructed them: ⁶  “Find out what you can about the land, especially Jericho.” ⁷  They stopped at the house of a prostitute named Rahab and spent the night there. ⁸ 

Joshua 2:5

2:5 When it was time to shut the city gate for the night, the men left. ⁹  I don’t know where they were heading. Chase after them quickly, for you have time to catch them!”

Joshua 8:13

8:13 The army was in position – the main army north of the city and the rear guard west of the city. That night Joshua went into ¹⁰  the middle of the valley.
