Judges 7:25

7:25 They captured the two Midianite generals, Oreb and Zeeb. ¹  They executed Oreb on the rock of Oreb and Zeeb ²  in the winepress of Zeeb. They chased the Midianites ³  and brought the heads of Oreb and Zeeb to Gideon, who was now on the other side of the Jordan River. ⁴

17:9 Micah said to him, “Where do you come from?” He replied, “I am a Levite from Bethlehem in Judah. I am looking for a new place to live.” ⁵ 

Judges 20:18

20:18 The Israelites went up to Bethel ⁶  and asked God, ⁷  “Who should lead the charge against the Benjaminites?” ⁸  The Lord said, “Judah should lead.”

Judges 20:26

20:26 So all the Israelites, the whole army, ⁹  went up to ¹⁰  Bethel. ¹¹  They wept and sat there before the Lord; they did not eat anything ¹²  that day until evening. They offered up burnt sacrifices and tokens of peace ¹³  to the Lord.

¹ sn The names Oreb and Zeeb, which mean “Raven” and “Wolf” respectively, are appropriate because the Midianites had been like scavengers and predators to Israel.

² tn The Hebrew text repeats the verb “executed.” This has not been repeated in the translation for stylistic reasons.
