Judges 2:14

2:14 The Lord was furious with Israel¹ and handed them over to robbers who plundered them.² He turned them over to³ their enemies who lived around them. They could not withstand their enemies’ attacks.⁴

Judges 3:8

3:8 The Lord was furious with Israel⁵ and turned them over to⁶ King Cushan-Rishathaim⁷ of Aram-Naharaim. They were Cushan-Rishathaim’s subjects⁸ for eight years.

Judges 4:15

4:15 The Lord routed⁹ Sisera, all his chariotry, and all his army with the edge of the sword.¹⁰ Sisera jumped out of¹¹ his chariot and ran away on foot.

Judges 6:27

6:27 So Gideon took ten of his servants¹² and did just as the Lord had told him. He was too afraid of his father’s family¹³ and the men of the city to do it in broad daylight, so he waited until nighttime.¹⁴

Judges 16:20

16:20 She said, “The Philistines are here,¹⁷ Samson!” He woke up¹⁸ and thought,¹⁹ “I will do as I did before²⁰ and shake myself free.” But he did not realize that the Lord had left him.

Judges 17:3

17:3 When he gave back to his mother the eleven hundred pieces of silver, his mother said, “I solemnly dedicate²¹ this silver to the Lord. It will be for my son’s benefit. We will use it to make a carved image and a metal image.”²²

Judges 20:18

20:18 The Israelites went up to Bethel²³ and asked God,²⁴ “Who should lead the charge against the Benjaminites?”²⁵ The Lord said, “Judah should lead.”

Judges 21:19

21:19 However, there is an annual festival to the Lord in Shiloh, which is north of Bethel²⁶ (east of the main road that goes up from Bethel to Shechem) and south of Lebonah.”

The phrase “a carved image and cast metal image” is best taken as referring to two idols (see 18:17-18), even though the verb at the end of v. 4, וַיְהִי (vayÿhi, “and it was [in the house of Micah]”), is singular.
