Judges 2:10

2:10 That entire generation passed away; ¹  a new generation grew up ²  that had not personally experienced the Lord’s presence or seen what he had done for Israel. ³ 

Judges 4:10

4:10 Barak summoned men from Zebulun and Naphtali to Kedesh. Ten thousand men followed him; ⁴  Deborah went up with him as well.

Judges 19:28-29

19:28 He said to her, “Get up, let’s leave!” But there was no response. He put her on the donkey and went home. ¹⁷  19:29 When he got home, he took a knife, grabbed his concubine, and carved her up into twelve pieces. ¹⁸  Then he sent the pieces throughout Israel. ¹⁹ 

Judges 20:3-4

20:3 The Benjaminites heard that the Israelites had gone up to Mizpah. Then the Israelites said, “Explain how this wicked thing happened!” 20:4 The Levite, ²⁰  the husband of the murdered woman, spoke up, “I and my concubine stopped in ²¹  Gibeah in the territory of Benjamin ²²  to spend the night.

Judges 20:8

20:8 All Israel rose up in unison ²³  and said, “Not one of us will go home! ²⁴  Not one of us will return ²⁵  to his house!

Judges 20:18

20:18 The Israelites went up to Bethel ²⁶  and asked God, ²⁷  “Who should lead the charge against the Benjaminites?” ²⁸  The Lord said, “Judah should lead.”

Judges 20:38

The Hebrew adjective רָעַה (ra’ah) can have a nonethical sense, “harmful; dangerous; calamitous.” When modifying רוּחַ (ruakh, “spirit”) it may simply indicate that the being in view causes harm to the object of God’s judgment. G. F. Moore (Judges [ICC], 253) here refers to a “mischief-making spirit.”
