Judges 1:16

1:16 Now the descendants of the Kenite, Moses’ father-in-law, went up with the people of Judah from the City of Date Palm Trees to Arad in the desert of Judah, located in the Negev. They went and lived with the people of Judah.

Judges 4:22

4:22 Now Barak was chasing Sisera. Jael went out to welcome him. She said to him, “Come here and I will show you the man you are searching for.” He went with her into the tent, and there he saw Sisera sprawled out dead with the tent peg in his temple.

Gideon Appeases the Ephraimites

7:24 Now Gideon sent messengers throughout the Ephraimite hill country who announced, “Go down and head off the Midianites. Take control of the fords of the streams 10  all the way to Beth Barah and the Jordan River.” 11  When all the Ephraimites had assembled, 12  they took control of the fords 13  all the way to Beth Barah and the Jordan River. 7:25 They captured the two Midianite generals, Oreb and Zeeb. 14  They executed Oreb on the rock of Oreb and Zeeb 15  in the winepress of Zeeb. They chased the Midianites 16  and brought the heads of Oreb and Zeeb to Gideon, who was now on the other side of the Jordan River. 17 

Judges 11:13

11:13 The Ammonite king said to Jephthah’s messengers, “Because Israel stole 18  my land when they 19  came up from Egypt – from the Arnon River in the south to the Jabbok River in the north, and as far west as the Jordan. 20  Now return it 21  peaceably!”

Judges 13:7

13:7 He said to me, ‘Look, you will conceive and have a son. 22  So now, do not drink wine or beer and do not eat any food that will make you ritually unclean. 23  For the child will be dedicated 24  to God from birth till the day he dies.’”

Judges 13:23

13:23 But his wife said to him, “If the Lord wanted to kill us, he would not have accepted the burnt offering and the grain offering from us. 25  He would not have shown us all these things, or have spoken to us like this just now.”

17:2 He said to his mother, “You know 28  the eleven hundred pieces of silver which were stolen 29  from you, about which I heard you pronounce a curse? Look here, I have the silver. I stole 30  it, but now I am giving it back to you.” 31  His mother said, “May the Lord reward 32  you, my son!”

18:14 The five men who had gone to spy out the land of Laish 33  said to their kinsmen, 34  “Do you realize that inside these houses are an ephod, some personal idols, a carved image, and a metal image? Decide now what you want to do.”

Judges 19:18

19:18 The Levite 35  said to him, “We are traveling from Bethlehem 36  in Judah to the remote region of the Ephraimite hill country. That’s where I’m from. I had business in Bethlehem in Judah, but now I’m heading home. 37  But no one has invited me into their home.

tn The phrase “of Judah” is supplied here in the translation. Some ancient textual witnesses read, “They went and lived with the Amalekites.” This reading, however, is probably influenced by 1 Sam 15:6 (see also Num 24:20-21).
