Let them approach and then speak;

let us come together for debate!

I will make evergreens, firs, and cypresses grow together in the desert.

its evergreens, firs, and cypresses together,

to beautify my palace;

I will bestow honor on my throne room.

tn Heb “will become” (so NASB, NIV).

tn Or “islands” (KJV, NIV, CEV); TEV “distant lands”; NLT “lands beyond the sea.”

tn The Hebrew term מִשְׁפָּט (mishpat) could be translated “judgment,” but here it seems to refer to the dispute or debate between the Lord and the nations.

tn Or “holy place, sanctuary.”

tn Heb “the place of my feet.” See Ezek 43:7, where the Lord’s throne is called the “place of the soles of my feet.”
