41:4 The bad-looking, thin cows ate the seven fine-looking, fat cows. Then Pharaoh woke up.

¹ tn The verb זָעַף (za’af) only occurs here and Dan 1:10. It means “to be sick, to be emaciated,” probably in this case because of depression.

² tn Heb “the seven first fat cows.”
