41:1 At the end of two full years 1  Pharaoh had a dream. 2  As he was standing by the Nile,

41:22 I also saw in my dream 3  seven heads of grain growing on one stalk, full and good.

Genesis 50:3

50:3 They took forty days, for that is the full time needed for embalming. 4  The Egyptians mourned 5  for him seventy days. 6

2 tn Heb “was dreaming.”

3 tn Heb “and I saw in my dream and look.”

4 tn Heb “and forty days were fulfilled for him, for thus are fulfilled the days of embalming.”

5 tn Heb “wept.”

6 sn Seventy days. This probably refers to a time of national mourning.
