Genesis 32:3

32:3 Jacob sent messengers on ahead 1  to his brother Esau in the land of Seir, the region 2  of Edom.

Genesis 32:21

32:21 So the gifts were sent on ahead of him 3  while he spent that night in the camp. 4 

1 tn Heb “before him.”

2 tn Heb “field.”

3 tn Heb “and the gift passed over upon his face.”

4 tn The disjunctive clause is circumstantial/temporal.
