2 tn The construction uses the Piel preterite, “he hurried,” followed by the infinitive construct; the two probably form a verbal hendiadys: “he quickly prepared.”
3 tn Heb “and she hurried and emptied.”
4 tn Heb “declared.”
5 tn Heb “that he [was] the brother of her father.”
6 tn Heb “he fled and he went out.” The construction emphasizes the point that Joseph got out of there quickly.
