32:25 The sword will make people childless outside,
and terror will do so inside;
they will destroy 1 both the young man and the virgin,
the infant and the gray-haired man.
32:41 I will sharpen my lightning-like sword,
and my hand will grasp hold of the weapon of judgment; 2
I will execute vengeance on my foes,
and repay those who hate me! 3
32:42 I will make my arrows drunk with blood,
and my sword will devour flesh –
the blood of the slaughtered and captured,
the chief 4 of the enemy’s leaders!’”
33:29 You have joy, Israel! Who is like you?
You are a people delivered by the Lord,
your protective shield
and your exalted sword.
May your enemies cringe before you;
may you trample on their backs.
