Daniel 4:35

4:35 All the inhabitants of the earth are regarded as nothing. ¹ 

He does as he wishes with the army of heaven

and with those who inhabit the earth.

No one slaps ²  his hand

and says to him, ‘What have you done?’

Daniel 9:6

9:6 We have not paid attention to your servants the prophets, who spoke by your authority ³  to our kings, our leaders, and our ancestors, ⁴  and to all the inhabitants ⁵  of the land as well.

¹ tc The present translation reads כְּלָא (kÿla’), with many medieval Hebrew MSS, rather than כְּלָה (kÿlah) of BHS.
