Daniel 4:24

4:24 this is the interpretation, O king! It is the decision of the Most High that this has happened to my lord the king.

Daniel 9:3

9:3 So I turned my attention 1  to the Lord God 2  to implore him by prayer and requests, with fasting, sackcloth, and ashes. 3 

Daniel 9:9

9:9 Yet the Lord our God is compassionate and forgiving, 4  even though we have rebelled against him.

Daniel 12:8

12:8 I heard, but I did not understand. So I said, “Sir, 5  what will happen after these things?”

1 tn Heb “face.”

2 tn The Hebrew phrase translated “Lord God” here is אֲדֹנָי הָאֱלֹהִים (’adonay ha’elohim).

3 sn When lamenting, ancient Israelites would fast, wear sackcloth, and put ashes on their heads to show their sorrow and contrition.

4 tn Heb “to the Lord our God (belong) compassion and forgiveness.”

5 tn Heb “my lord,” a title of polite address.
