Daniel 2:46

2:46 Then King Nebuchadnezzar bowed down with his face to the ground and paid homage to Daniel. He gave orders to offer sacrifice and incense to him.

Daniel 3:6

3:6 Whoever does not bow down and pay homage will immediately be thrown into the midst of a furnace of blazing fire!”

Daniel 3:11

3:11 And whoever does not bow down and pay homage must be thrown into the midst of a furnace of blazing fire.

Daniel 8:11

8:11 It also acted arrogantly against the Prince of the army, from whom the daily sacrifice was removed and whose sanctuary was thrown down.

tn Aram “fell on his face.”

tn Aram “in that hour.”

sn The prince of the army may refer to God (cf. “whose sanctuary” later in the verse) or to the angel Michael (cf. 12:1).

tn Or perhaps “and by him,” referring to Antiochus rather than to God.

sn Here the sanctuary is a reference to the temple of God in Jerusalem.
