27:25 Therefore keep up your courage, men, for I have faith in God 1  that it will be just as I have been told.

Acts 28:21

28:21 They replied, 2  “We have received no letters from Judea about you, nor have any of the brothers come from there 3  and reported or said anything bad about you.

1 tn BDAG 817 s.v. πιστεύω 1.c states, “w. pers. and thing added π. τινί τι believe someone with regard to someth….W. dat. of pers. and ὅτι foll…. πιστεύετέ μοι ὅτι ἐγὼ ἐν τῷ πατρί J 14:11a. Cp. 4:21; Ac 27:25.”

2 tn Grk “they said to him.”

3 tn Or “arrived”; Grk “come” (“from there” is implied). Grk “coming.” The participle παραγενόμενος (paragenomeno") has been translated as a finite verb due to requirements of contemporary English style.
