10:19 When all the kings who were subject to Hadadezer 1  saw they were defeated by Israel, they made peace with Israel and became subjects of Israel. 2  The Arameans were no longer willing to help the Ammonites.

2 Samuel 19:15

19:15 So the king returned and came to the Jordan River. 3 

Now the people of Judah 4  had come to Gilgal to meet the king and to help him 5  cross the Jordan.

2 Samuel 19:18

19:18 They crossed at the ford in order to help the king’s household cross and to do whatever he thought appropriate.

Now after he had crossed the Jordan, Shimei son of Gera threw himself down before the king.

1 tn Heb “the servants of Hadadezer.”

2 tn Heb “and they served them.”

3 tn The word “River” is not in the Hebrew text, but has been supplied in the translation for clarity.

4 tn The Hebrew text has simply “Judah.”

5 tn Heb “the king.” The pronoun (“him”) has been used in the translation to avoid redundancy.
