Abijah’s Reign

13:1 In the eighteenth year of the reign of King Jeroboam, Abijah became king over Judah.

2 Chronicles 18:28

18:28 The king of Israel and King Jehoshaphat of Judah attacked Ramoth Gilead.

2 Chronicles 20:35

20:35 Later King Jehoshaphat of Judah made an alliance with King Ahaziah of Israel, who 1  did evil.

2 Chronicles 28:16

28:16 At that time King Ahaz asked the king 2  of Assyria for help.

1 tn Heb “he.” The pronoun has been translated as a relative pronoun for stylistic reasons.

2 tc Most Hebrew mss read the plural, “kings,” but one Hebrew ms, the LXX and Vulgate read the singular “king.” Note the singular in v. 20.
