11:4 When the messengers went to Gibeah (where Saul lived) 1  and informed the people of these matters, all the people wept loudly. 2 

1 Samuel 19:15-16

19:15 Then Saul sent the messengers back to see David, saying, “Bring him up to me on his bed so I can kill him.” 19:16 When the messengers came, they found only the idol on the bed and the quilt made of goat’s hair at its head.

1 Samuel 25:14

25:14 But one of the servants told Nabal’s wife Abigail, “David sent messengers from the desert to greet 3  our lord, but he screamed at them.

1 Samuel 25:42

25:42 Then Abigail quickly went and mounted her donkey, with five of her female servants accompanying her. 4  She followed David’s messengers and became his wife.
