1 Kings 2:15

2:15 He said, “You know that the kingdom ¹  was mine and all Israel considered me king. ²  But then the kingdom was given to my brother, for the Lord decided it should be his. ³ 

1 Kings 5:7

5:7 When Hiram heard Solomon’s message, he was very happy. He said, “The Lord is worthy of praise today because he ⁴  has given David a wise son to rule over this great nation.”

1 Kings 8:36

8:36 then listen from heaven and forgive the sin of your servants, your people Israel. Certainly ⁵  you will then teach them the right way to live ⁶  and send rain on your land that you have given your people to possess. ⁷ 

1 Kings 9:7

9:7 then I will remove Israel from the land ⁸  I have given them, I will abandon this temple I have consecrated with my presence, ⁹  and Israel will be mocked and ridiculed ¹⁰  among all the nations.

sn Instead of “I will send away,” the parallel text in 2 Chr 7:20 has “I will throw away.” The two verbs sound very similar in Hebrew, so the discrepancy is likely due to an oral transmissional error.
