9:22 All those selected to be gatekeepers at the entrances numbered 212. Their names were recorded in the genealogical records of their settlements. David and Samuel the prophet ¹  had appointed them to their positions. ²

God Makes a Promise to David

17:1 When David had settled into his palace, ³  he ⁴  said to Nathan the prophet, “Look, I am living in a palace ⁵  made from cedar, while the ark of the Lord’s covenant is under a tent.” ⁶ 

1 Chronicles 25:5

25:5 All these were the sons of Heman, the king’s prophet. God had promised him these sons in order to make him prestigious. ⁷  God gave Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.

1 Chronicles 26:28

26:28 They were also in charge of everything dedicated by Samuel the prophet, ⁸  Saul son of Kish, Abner son of Ner, and Joab son of Zeruiah; Shelomith and his relatives were in charge of everything that had been dedicated.
