David Organizes the Levites

23:1 When David was old and approaching the end of his life,¹ he made his son Solomon king over Israel.

1 Chronicles 23:3

23:3 The Levites who were thirty years old and up were counted; there were 38,000 men.²

26:13 They cast lots, both young and old, according to their families, to determine which gate they would be responsible for.³

29:28 He died at a good old age, having enjoyed long life, wealth, and honor.⁴ His son Solomon succeeded him.
