1 Chronicles 13:2

13:2 David said to the whole Israelite assembly, “If you so desire and the Lord our God approves, 1  let’s spread the word 2  to our brothers who remain in all the regions of Israel, and to the priests and Levites in their cities, 3  so they may join us.

1 Chronicles 28:2

28:2 King David rose to his feet and said: “Listen to me, my brothers and my people. I wanted to build a temple where the ark of the Lord’s covenant could be placed as a footstool for our God. 4  I have made the preparations for building it.

1 tn Heb “If to you [it is] good and from the Lord our God.”

2 tn Heb “let us spread and let us send.” The words “the word” are supplied in the translation for clarification.
