Genesis 45:28--46:2

45:28 Then Israel said, “Enough! My son Joseph is still alive! I will go and see him before I die.”

46:1 So Israel began his journey, taking with him all that he had. When he came to Beer Sheba he offered sacrifices to the God of his father Isaac. 46:2 God spoke to Israel in a vision during the night and said, “Jacob, Jacob!” He replied, “Here I am!”

tn Heb “in visions of the night.” The plural form has the singular meaning, probably as a plural of intensity.
