HIGH PLACES
A term used to describe places of worship, Gen. 12:8; 22:2, 14; 31:54; 1 Sam. 9:12; 2 Sam. 24:25; 1 Kin. 3:2, 4; 18:30, 38; 1 Chr. 16:39; 2 Chr. 1:3; 33:17.
Signify a place of idolatrous worship, Num. 22:41; 1 Kin. 11:7; 12:31; 14:23; 15:14; 22:43; 2 Kin. 17:9, 29; Jer. 7:31.
Licentious practices at, Ezek. 16:24-43.
The idolatrous, to be destroyed, Lev. 26:30; Num. 33:52.
Asa destroys, 2 Chr. 14:3; Jehoshaphat, 2 Chr. 17:6; Hezekiah, 2 Kin. 18:4; Josiah, 2 Kin. 23:8.
