Ephesians 1
- [Eph 1:4] How Vast The Benefits Divine
How vast the benefits divine which we in Christ possess!
We are redeemed from guilt and shame and called to holiness.
But not for works which we have done, or shall hereafter do,
Hath God decreed on sinful men salvation to bestow.The glory, Lord, from first to last, is due to Thee alone;
Aught to ourselves we dare not take, or rob Thee of Thy crown.
Our glorious Surety undertook to satisfy for man,
And grace was given us in Him before the world began.This is Thy will, that in Thy love we ever should abide;
That earth and hell should not prevail to turn Thy Word aside.
Not one of all the chosen race but shall to Heav’n attain,
Partake on earth the purposed grace and then with Jesus reign.Play source: Cyberhymnal - [Eph 1:6] Accepted In The Beloved
“In the Beloved” accepted am I,
Risen, ascended, and seated on high;
Saved from all sin thro’ His infinite grace,
With the redeemed ones accorded a place.Refrain
“In the Beloved,” God’s marvelous grace
Calls me to dwell in this wonderful place;
God sees my Savior, and then He sees me,
“In the Beloved,” accepted and free.“In the Beloved”— how safe my retreat,
In the Beloved accounted complete;
“Who can condemn me?” In Him I am free,
Savior and Keeper forever is He.Refrain
“In the Beloved” I went to the tree,
There, in His Person, by faith I may see
Infinite wrath rolling over His head,
Infinite grace, for He died in my stead.Refrain

My soul, repeat His praise,
Whose mercies are so great;
Whose anger is so slow to rise,
So ready to abate.God will not always chide;
And when His strokes are felt,
His strokes are fewer than our crimes,
And lighter than our guilt.High as the heav’ns are raised,
Above the ground we tread,
So far the riches of His grace
Our highest thoughts exceed.His power subdues our sins;
And His forgiving love
Far as the east is from the west,
Doth all our guilt remove.The pity of the Lord,
To those that fear His Name,
Is such as tender parents feel;
He knows our feeble frame.Our days as are the grass,
Or like the morning flower;
If one sharp blast sweep o’er the field
It withers in an hour.But Thy compassions, Lord,
To endless years endure;
And children’s children ever find
Thy words of promise sure.source: Cyberhymnal - [Eph 1:7] How Happy Every Child Of Grace
How happy every child of grace,
Who knows his sins forgiven!
“This earth,” he cries, “is not my place,
I seek my place in Heaven—
A country far from mortal sight,
Which yet by faith I see,
The land of rest, the saints’ delight,
The heaven prepared for me.”O what a blessèd hope is ours!
While here on earth we stay,
We more than taste the heavenly powers,
And antedate that day.
We feel the resurrection near,
Our life in Christ concealed,
And with His glorious presence here
Our earthen vessels filled.O would He more of heaven bestow,
And let the vessels break,
And let our ransomed spirits go
To grasp the God we seek;
In rapturous awe on Him to gaze,
Who bought the sight for me;
And shout and wonder at His grace
Through all eternity!Play source: Cyberhymnal - [Eph 1:7] Redemption
Redemption! oh, wonderful story—
Glad message for you and for me;
That Jesus has purchased our pardon,
And paid all the debt on the tree.Refrain
Believe it, O sinner, believe it;
Receive the glad message—’tis true;
Trust now in the crucified Savior,
Salvation He offers to you.From death unto life He has brought us,
And made us by grace sons of God;
A fountain is opened for sinners;
Oh, wash and be cleansed in the blood!Refrain
No longer shall sin have dominion,
Though present to tempt and annoy;
For Christ, in His blessèd redemption,
The power of sin shall destroy.Refrain
Accept now God’s offer of mercy;
To Jesus, oh hasten today;
For He will receive him that cometh,
And never will turn him away.Refrain

Is your life full of trial, do you seek sweet peace?
You must be redeemed by the blood.
From the chains that have bound you would you find release?
You must be redeemed by the blood.Refrain
You must be redeemed, you must be redeemed,
You must be redeemed by the blood;
O trust and believe, salvation receive,
You must be redeemed by the blood.Would you press on to glory with a Savior near?
You must be redeemed by the blood.
Would your soul rise in vict’ry over doubt and fear?
You must be redeemed by the blood.Refrain
Do you seek for His pardon lest your soul shall die?
You must be redeemed by the blood.
For His grace all sufficient doth your spirit cry?
You must be redeemed by the blood.Refrain

Seal us, O Holy Spirit,
Grant us Thine impress, we pray;
We would be more like the Savior,
Stamped with His image today.Refrain
Seal us, seal us,
Seal us just now, we pray;
Seal us, O Holy Spirit,
Seal us for service today.Seal us, O Holy Spirit,
Help us Thy likeness to show;
Then from our life unto others
Streams of rich blessings shall flow.Refrain
Seal us, O Holy Spirit,
Make us Thine own from this hour;
Let us be useful, dear Master,
Seal us with witnessing power.Refrain

Spirit blest, who art adored
With the Father and the Word,
One eternal God and Lord:
Hear us, Holy Spirit.Thou by Whom the virgin bore
Him Whom Heav’n and earth adore,
Sent our nature to restore:
Hear us, Holy Spirit.Thou Whom Jesus, from His throne,
Gave to cheer and help His own,
That they might not be alone:
Hear us, Holy Spirit.Thou Whose grace the Church doth fill,
Showing her God’s perfect will,
Making Jesus present still:
Hear us, Holy Spirit.All Thy gracious gifts bestow,
Gifts of wisdom God to know,
Gifts of strength to meet the foe:
Hear us, Holy Spirit.All our evil passions kill,
Bend aright our stubborn will;
Though we grieve Thee, patient still:
Hear us, Holy Spirit.Come to strengthen all the weak,
Give Thy courage to the meek,
Teach our falt’ring tongues to speak:
Hear us, Holy Spirit.Holy, loving, as Thou art,
Come, and live within our heart;
Nevermore from us depart:
Hear us, Holy Spirit.Play source: Cyberhymnal - [Eph 1:13] Sweet Assurance
Sweet assurance, Thou hast sealed me
With Thy precious blood divine;
And I know, for Thou hast told me,
I in life or death am Thine.Refrain
Sweet assurance, O my Savior,
How it cheers this heart of mine!
While Thy loving Spirit whispers,
I in life or death am Thine.Perfect peace, no fear alarms me,
Still the blessèd thought is mine;
Though my days be few or many,
I in life or death am Thine.Refrain
Death is but a bright transition,
From a world where joys decline,
To the realm of life eternal,
Where Thy endless glories shine.Refrain
Welcome then the vale and shadow,
Faith, unfalt’ring trust, is mine;
Thro’ the gloom Thy hand will lead me,
I in life or death am Thine.Refrain

Christ, above all glory seated!
King triumphant, strong to save!
Dying, Thou hast death defeated;
Buried, Thou hast spoiled the grave.Thou art gone, where now is given
What no mortal might could gain,
On the eternal throne of Heaven,
In Thy Father’s power to reign.There Thy kingdoms all adore Thee,
Heaven above and earth below;
While the depths of hell before Thee
Trembling and defeated bow.We, O Lord, with hearts adoring
Follow Thee above the sky!
Hear our prayers Thy grace imploring,
Lift our souls to Thee on high.So when Thou again in glory
On the clouds of Heaven shalt shine,
We Thy flock may stand before Thee,
Owned for evermore as Thine.Hail! all hail! in Thee confiding,
Jesus, Thee shall all adore,
In Thy Father’s might abiding
With one Spirit evermore!source: Cyberhymnal - [Eph 1:21] Jesus, Name Of Wondrous Love
Jesus! Name of wondrous love!
Name all other names above!
Unto which must every knee
Bow in deep humility.Jesus! Name of priceless worth
To the fallen sons of earth,
For the promise that it gave—
“Jesus shall His people save.”Jesus! Name decreed of old,
To the maiden mother told—
Kneeling in her lowly cell—
By the angel Gabriel.Jesus! Name of mercy mild,
Given to the holy Child,
When the cup of human woe
First He tasted here below.Jesus! Only name that’s given
Under all the mighty heaven,
Whereby man, to sin enslaved,
Bursts his fetters, and is saved.Jesus! Name of wondrous love,
Human name of God above!
Pleading only this, we flee,
Helpless, O our God, to Thee.Play source: Cyberhymnal
