They gape at me and say, "Aha! Aha! With our own eyes we have seen it."
They opened their mouth wide against me; They said, "Aha, aha, our eyes have seen it!"
They shout that they have seen me doing wrong. "Aha," they say. "Aha! With our own eyes we saw him do it!"
They open their mouths in ugly grins, Mocking, "Ha-ha, ha-ha, thought you'd get away with it? We've caught you hands down!"
Their mouths were open wide against me, and they said, Aha, aha, our eyes have seen it.
They open wide their mouths against me; they say, "Aha, Aha, our eyes have seen it."
They also opened their mouth wide against me, And said, "Aha, aha! Our eyes have seen it ."

1 tn Heb “and they cause their mouth to be wide against me.” The prefixed verbal form with vav (ו) consecutive here carries on the generalizing mood of the previous verse. For other examples of this use of the prefixed verbal form with vav consecutive, see GKC 329 §111.t.
2 tn Heb “our eye sees.” Apparently this is an idiom meaning to “look in triumph” or “gloat over” (see Ps 54:7).
