Will evildoers never learn—those who devour my people as men eat bread and who do not call on the LORD?
Do all the workers of wickedness not know, Who eat up my people as they eat bread, And do not call upon the Lord?
Will those who do evil never learn? They eat up my people like bread; they wouldn’t think of praying to the LORD.
Don't they know anything, all these impostors? Don't they know they can't get away with this--Treating people like a fast-food meal over which they're too busy to pray?
Have all the workers of evil no knowledge? they take my people for food as they would take bread; they make no prayer to the Lord.
Have they no knowledge, all the evildoers who eat up my people as they eat bread, and do not call upon the LORD?
Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge, Who eat up my people as they eat bread, And do not call on the LORD?

1 tn Heb “all the workers of wickedness.” See Pss 5:5; 6:8.
2 tn Heb “Do they not understand?” The rhetorical question (rendered in the translation as a positive affirmation) expresses the psalmist’s amazement at their apparent lack of understanding. This may refer to their lack of moral understanding, but it more likely refers to their failure to anticipate God’s defense of his people (see vv. 5-7).
