My hand made them; 1 that is how they came to be,” 2 says the Lord. I show special favor 3 to the humble and contrite, who respect what I have to say. 4
Has not my hand made all these things, and so they came into being?" declares the LORD. "This is the one I esteem: he who is humble and contrite in spirit, and trembles at my word.
"For My hand made all these things, Thus all these things came into being," declares the LORD. "But to this one I will look, To him who is humble and contrite of spirit, and who trembles at My word.
My hands have made both heaven and earth, and they are mine. I, the LORD, have spoken! "I will bless those who have humble and contrite hearts, who tremble at my word.
I made all this! I own all this!" [GOD's] Decree. "But there is something I'm looking for: a person simple and plain, reverently responsive to what I say.
For all these things my hand has made, and they are mine, says the Lord; but to this man only will I give attention, to him who is poor and broken in spirit, fearing my word.
All these things my hand has made, and so all these things are mine, says the LORD. But this is the one to whom I will look, to the humble and contrite in spirit, who trembles at my word.
For all those things My hand has made, And all those things exist," Says the LORD. "But on this one will I look: On him who is poor and of a contrite spirit, And who trembles at My word.
For all those [things] hath mine hand
and all those [things] have been, saith
but to this [man] will I look
[even] to [him that is] poor
and of a contrite
at my word

1 tn Heb “all these.” The phrase refers to the heavens and earth, mentioned in the previous verse.
2 tn Heb “and all these were.” Some prefer to emend וַיִּהְיוּ (vayyihyu, “and they were”) to וְלִי הָיוּ (vÿli hayu, “and to me they were”), i.e., “and they belong to me.”
3 tn Heb “and to this one I look” (KJV and NASB both similar).
4 tn Heb “to the humble and the lowly in spirit and the one who trembles at my words.”
