Talking with him, Peter went inside and found a large gathering of people.
As he talked with him, he entered and *found many people assembled.
So Cornelius got up, and they talked together and went inside where the others were assembled.
Talking things over, they went on into the house, where Cornelius introduced Peter to everyone who had come.
And saying these words, he went in, and saw that a great number of people had come together;
And as he talked with him, he went in and found that many had assembled;
And as he talked with him, he went in and found many who had come together.

1 tn Grk “And he”; the referent (Peter) has been specified in the translation for clarity. Because of the difference between Greek style, which often begins sentences or clauses with “and,” and English style, which generally does not, καί (kai) has not been translated here.
2 tn Or “many people assembled.”
