Let us evaluate
For you deliver
You made us retreat
You handed us
You made us
Yet you have battered us, leaving us a heap of ruins overrun by wild dogs;
He does not deal with us as our sins deserve;
And do not lead us into temptation,
for there our captors ask us to compose songs;
Show us favor, O Lord, show us favor! For we have had our fill of humiliation, and then some.
Then the people said to me, “Will you not tell us what these things you are doing mean for us?”
Then they will begin to say to the mountains,
What then shall we say about these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
He delivered us from there so that he could give us the land he had promised our ancestors.
May the Lord our God be with us, as he was with our ancestors. May he not abandon us or leave us.
Look how they are repaying us! They come to drive us out of our allotted land which you assigned to us!
