After 1 he had said this, while they were watching, he was lifted up and a cloud hid him from their sight.
nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in creation will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
And there are heavenly bodies and earthly bodies. The glory of the heavenly body is one sort and the earthly another.
But the day of the Lord will come like a thief; when it comes, 1 the heavens will disappear 2 with a horrific noise, 3 and the celestial bodies 4 will melt away 5 in a blaze, 6 and the earth and every deed done on it 7 will be laid bare. 8
and swore by the one who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and what is in it, and the earth and what is in it, and the sea and what is in it, “There will be no more delay! 1
Then I heard the man clothed in linen who was over the waters of the river as he raised both his right and left hands to the sky 1 and made an oath by the one who lives forever: “It is for a time, times, and half a time. Then, when the power of the one who shatters 2 the holy people has been exhausted, all these things will be finished.”
God blessed 1 them and said 2 to them, “Be fruitful and multiply! Fill the earth and subdue it! 3 Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and every creature that moves on the ground.” 4
So the Lord said, “I will wipe humankind, whom I have created, from the face of the earth – everything from humankind to animals, 1 including creatures that move on the ground and birds of the air, for I regret that I have made them.”
But God heard the boy’s voice. 1 The angel of God called to Hagar from heaven and asked her, “What is the matter, 2 Hagar? Don’t be afraid, for God has heard 3 the boy’s voice right where he is crying.
Then the Lord said to Moses, “I am going to rain 1 bread from heaven for you, and the people will go out 2 and gather the amount for each day, so that I may test them. 3 Will they will walk in my law 4 or not?
The Lord will open for you his good treasure house, the heavens, to give you rain for the land in its season and to bless all you do; 1 you will lend to many nations but you will not borrow from any.
The Lord shatters 1 his adversaries; 2 he thunders against them from 3 the heavens. The Lord executes judgment to the ends of the earth. He will strengthen 4 his king and exalt the power 5 of his anointed one.” 6
