So then, let no one treat him with contempt. But send him on his way in peace so that he may come to me. For I am expecting him with the brothers. 1
They said to him, “Look, there are fifty capable men with your servants. Let them go and look for your master, for the wind sent from the Lord 1 may have carried him away and dropped him on one of the hills or in one of the valleys.” But Elisha 2 replied, “Don’t send them out.”
One of his advisers replied, “Pick some men and have them take five of the horses that are left in the city. (Even if they are killed, their fate will be no different than that of all the Israelite people – we’re all going to die!) 1 Let’s send them out so we can know for sure what’s going on.” 2
He turns springs into streams; 1 they flow between the mountains.
I will perform a mighty act among them 1 and then send some of those who remain to the nations – to Tarshish, Pul, 2 Lud 3 (known for its archers 4 ), Tubal, Javan, 5 and to the distant coastlands 6 that have not heard about me or seen my splendor. They will tell the nations of my splendor.

“Do not think that I have come to bring 1 peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace but a sword.
After sending away the crowd, he got into the boat and went to the region of Magadan. 1
They said, “Moses permitted a man to write a certificate of dismissal and to divorce her.” 1
Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the churches of Christ greet you.
Give greetings to all the saints in Christ Jesus. The brothers 1 with me here send greetings.
“The Lord, the God of heaven, who took me from my father’s house and the land of my relatives, 1 promised me with a solemn oath, 2 ‘To your descendants I will give this land.’ He will send his angel 3 before you so that you may find 4 a wife for my son from there.
He answered, ‘The Lord, before whom I have walked, 1 will send his angel with you. He will make your journey a success and you will find a wife for my son from among my relatives, from my father’s family.
Moses said to the Lord, “See, you have been saying to me, ‘Bring this people up,’ 1 but you have not let me know whom you will send with me. But you said, ‘I know you by name, 2 and also you have found favor in my sight.’
Aaron is to lay his two hands on the head of the live goat and confess over it all the iniquities of the Israelites and all their transgressions in regard to all their sins, 1 and thus he is to put them 2 on the head of the goat and send it away into the wilderness by the hand of a man standing ready. 3
So all of you approached me and said, “Let’s send some men ahead of us to scout out the land and bring us back word as to how we should attack it and what the cities are like there.”
“At this time tomorrow I will send to you a man from the land of Benjamin. You must consecrate 1 him as a leader over my people Israel. He will save my people from the hand of the Philistines. For I have looked with favor on my people. Their cry has reached me!”
