But if the priest examines the scall infection and it does not appear to be deeper than the skin, 1 and there is no black hair in it, then the priest is to quarantine the person with the scall infection for seven days. 2
The priest must then examine the scall on the seventh day, and if 1 the scall has not spread on the skin and it does not appear to be deeper than the skin, 2 then the priest is to pronounce him clean. 3 So he is to wash his clothes and be clean.
“If, however, the priest enters 1 and examines it, and the 2 infection has not spread in the house after the house has been replastered, then the priest is to pronounce the house clean because the infection has been healed.
Uzziah, who had an incense censer in his hand, became angry. While he was ranting and raving 1 at the priests, a skin disease 2 appeared on his forehead right there in front of the priests in the Lord’s temple near the incense altar.
