and wrap the sashes around Aaron and his sons 1 and put headbands on them, and so the ministry of priesthood will belong to them by a perpetual ordinance. Thus you are to consecrate 2 Aaron and his sons.

The Lord said to Moses, “Bring Aaron’s staff back before the testimony to be preserved for a sign to the rebels, so that you may bring their murmurings to an end 1 before me, that they will not die.” 2
But the Levites must perform the service 1 of the tent of meeting, and they must bear their iniquity. 2 It will be a perpetual ordinance throughout your generations that among the Israelites the Levites 3 have no inheritance. 4
but Hannah did not go up with them. 1 Instead she told her husband, “Once the boy is weaned, I will bring him and appear before the Lord, and he will remain there from then on.”
Look at Zion, the city where we hold religious festivals! You 1 will see Jerusalem, 2 a peaceful settlement, a tent that stays put; 3 its stakes will never be pulled up; none of its ropes will snap in two.

And you 1 will provide a grain offering with it morning by morning, a sixth of an ephah, and a third of a gallon 2 of olive oil to moisten the choice flour, as a grain offering to the Lord; this is a perpetual statute.
