And Saul agreed completely with killing 1 him.Now on that day a great 2 persecution began 3 against the church in Jerusalem, 4 and all 5 except the apostles were forced to scatter throughout the regions 6 of Judea and Samaria.
But regarding the Gentiles who have believed, we have written a letter, having decided 1 that they should avoid 2 meat that has been sacrificed to idols 3 and blood and what has been strangled 4 and sexual immorality.”

For they were pleased to do this, and indeed they are indebted to the Jerusalem saints. 1 For if the Gentiles have shared in their spiritual things, they are obligated also to minister to them in material things.
For these are the kind who do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By their smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds 1 of the naive.
For who among men knows the things of a man except the man’s spirit within him? So too, no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.

And if the ear says, “Since I am not an eye, I am not part of the body,” it does not lose its membership in the body because of that.
Now, brothers and sisters, 1 if I come to you speaking in tongues, how will I help you unless I speak to you with a revelation or with knowledge or prophecy or teaching?
So then, tongues are a sign not for believers but for unbelievers. Prophecy, however, is not for unbelievers but for believers.
Also, we are found to be false witnesses about God, because we have testified against God that he raised Christ from the dead, when in reality he did not raise him, if indeed the dead are not raised.
