So the horseman
“The Lord God of Israel says, ‘Give a message to the king of Judah who sent you to ask me to help him.
So these officials said to the king, “This man must be put to death. For he is demoralizing
He said to me, “Do you see, son of man? Is it a trivial thing that the house of Judah commits these abominations they are practicing here? For they have filled the land with violence and provoked me to anger still further. Look, they are putting the branch to their nose!
So they cried out to the Lord, “Oh, please, Lord, don’t let us die on account of this man! Don’t hold us guilty of shedding innocent blood.
“Therefore I tell you, do not worry
If then I am in the wrong
(as it is written, “I have made you the father of many nations”).
For if you were cut off from what is by nature a wild olive tree, and grafted, contrary to nature, into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these natural branches be grafted back into their own olive tree?
