Now such people we command and urge in the Lord Jesus Christ to work quietly and so provide their own food to eat. 1
But if someone does not provide for his own, 1 especially his own family, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

When the edict was issued, 1 the Israelites freely contributed 2 the initial portion of their grain, wine, olive oil, honey, and all the produce of their fields. They brought a tenth of everything, which added up to a huge amount.
Then 1 they came to Jerusalem. 2 Jesus 3 entered the temple area 4 and began to drive out those who were selling and buying in the temple courts. 5 He turned over the tables of the money changers and the chairs of those selling doves,
After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth so no wind could blow on the earth, on the sea, or on any tree.
And he said to me, “Get up, go down at once from here because your people whom you brought out of Egypt have sinned! They have quickly turned from the way I commanded them and have made for themselves a cast metal image.” 1
