How can we sing a song to the Lord in a foreign land?
Many of those who sleep in the dusty ground will awake – some to everlasting life, and others to shame and everlasting abhorrence. 1

I will eliminate from among you the rebels and those who revolt 1 against me. I will bring them out from the land where they have been residing, but they will not come to the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am the Lord.

So Joseph bought all the land of Egypt for Pharaoh. Each 1 of the Egyptians sold his field, for the famine was severe. 2 So the land became Pharaoh’s.
But he did not purchase the land of the priests because the priests had an allotment from Pharaoh and they ate from their allotment that Pharaoh gave them. That is why they did not sell their land.
The land of Judah will humiliate Egypt. Everyone who hears about Judah will be afraid because of what the Lord who commands armies is planning to do to them. 1
“Therefore say: ‘This is what the sovereign Lord says: When I regather you from the peoples and assemble you from the lands where you have been dispersed, I will give you back the country of Israel.’
Then say to the people of the land, ‘This is what the sovereign Lord says about the inhabitants of Jerusalem and of the land of Israel: They will eat their bread with anxiety and drink their water in fright, for their land will be stripped bare of all it contains because of the violence of all who live in it.
