If you, O Lord, were to keep track of 1 sins, O Lord, who could stand before you? 2
So 1 you will walk in the way of good people, 2 and will keep on the paths of the righteous. 3
You see 1 many things, but don’t comprehend; 2 their ears are open, but do not hear.”
Then God said to Abraham, “As for you, you must keep 1 the covenantal requirement 2 I am imposing on you and your descendants after you throughout their generations.
Whatever you vow, you must be careful to do what you have promised, such as what you have vowed to the Lord your God as a freewill offering.
The Lord’s messenger told 1 Manoah, “Your wife should pay attention to everything I told her. 2
When you walk about, 1 they 2 will guide you; when you lie down, they will watch over you; when you wake up, 3 they will talk 4 to you.
“The Lord who rules over all says, ‘If you live 1 and work according to my requirements, you will be able to preside over my temple 2 and attend to my courtyards, and I will allow you to come and go among these others who are standing by you.
“You must keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread. For seven days 1 you must eat bread made without yeast, as I commanded you; do this 2 at the appointed time of the month Abib, for in the month Abib you came out of Egypt.
The Lord will designate you as his holy people just as he promised you, if you keep his commandments 1 and obey him. 2
You must serve me with integrity and sincerity, just as your father David did. Do everything I commanded and obey my rules and regulations. 1
You are to observe the Feast of Unleavened Bread; seven days 1 you must eat bread made without yeast, as I commanded you, at the appointed time of the month of Abib, for at that time 2 you came out of Egypt. No one may appear before 3 me empty-handed.
and then you are careful to observe all these commandments 1 I am giving 2 you today (namely, to love the Lord your God and to always walk in his ways), then you must add three more cities 3 to these three.
“If you refuse to obey 1 all the words of this law, the things written in this scroll, and refuse to fear this glorious and awesome name, the Lord your God,
This law scroll must not leave your lips! 1 You must memorize it 2 day and night so you can carefully obey 3 all that is written in it. Then you will prosper 4 and be successful. 5
She should not drink 1 anything that the grapevine produces. She must not drink wine or beer, and she must not eat any food that will make her ritually unclean. 2 She should obey everything I commanded her to do.”
