So Jeshua appointed both his sons and his relatives, 1 Kadmiel and his sons (the sons of Yehudah 2 ), to take charge of the workers in the temple of God, along with the sons of Henadad, their sons, and their relatives 3 the Levites.
On the fourth day we weighed out the silver, the gold, and the vessels in the house of our God into the care 1 of Meremoth son of Uriah, the priest, and Eleazar son of Phinehas, who were accompanied by Jozabad son of Jeshua and Noadiah son of Binnui, who were Levites.
So all the assembly which had returned from the exile constructed temporary shelters and lived in them. The Israelites had not done so from the days of Joshua son of Nun until that day. Everyone experienced very great joy. 1
The Levites – Jeshua, Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabneiah, Sherebiah, Hodiah, Shebaniah, and Pethahiah – said, “Stand up and bless the LORD your God!” “May you be blessed, O LORD our God, from age to age. 1 May your glorious name 2 be blessed; may it be lifted up above all blessing and praise.
